CALDWELL, NJ -- Senior guard/forward
Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) scored 19 points and secured 11 rebounds to earn her first double-double of the season as women's basketball (11-6, 5-5 CACC) handedly defeated Chestnut Hill (9-8, 6-3 CACC) 82-51 at the Newman Center.
Junior guard
Neysa Aguilar (Middlesex, N.J.) dropped 14 points while junior point guard
Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) added 10 of her own. Lewis also dished out four assists and grabbed nine rebounds.
Caldwell shut down Chestnut Hill limiting them to just 51 points and 25% shooting.
The Cougars' biggest lead was a 33-point advantage (75-42) late in the 4th quarter.
Junior forward
Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) led CU with five assists and was third on the team with eight rebounds.
The whole Caldwell team contributed to the win with 11 different Cougars on the score sheet.
Caldwell will look to keep their momentum rolling in a non-conference tilt when they take on the CSI Dolphins in Staten Island, NY on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
