NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman lineman Trever Stevenson (Ambridge, Pa.) has been named Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Defensive Player of the Week and Co-Rookie of the Week after his performance in Caldwell's Week 1 win over Pennsylvania, 29-12 in Philadelphia.
Stevenson anchored the Cougars defense, making 15 tackles (12 solo), including 2 1/2 sacks and school-record 5 1/2 tackles for loss, plus a pass breakup and a QB hit. He helped the Cougars limit Penn to 33 yards rushing in the contest.
