Wyette Schubert-Brown (Chatsworth, N.J.) slammed home a season-high 17 kills and freshman setter
Sienna Reddell (Roseville, Calif.) notched a team-best 13 digs and co-led with 14 assists as Caldwell University volleyball fell, 3-1, to Queens in a non-conference matchup at Newman Center on Tuesday evening.
After the Knights (4-5) took the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-20, the Cougars secured the third on three kills by Schubert-Brown on fine Reddell sets to close the set, 25-23.
Schubert-Brown was helped on the front line by junior hitter
Andrea Enabosi (Piscataway, N.J.) and freshman right side
Meredith Gatz (Millis, Mass.), who each had six kills.
Senior setter
Jordan Mack (Yorba Linda, Calif.) added 14 assists and eight digs, and both junior
Ava Railton (Santa Rose Beach, Fla.) (11 digs) and senior
Torrien Jones (Camp Springs, Md.) (10) came up big on the back line. Jones added a team-best three service aces as well.
The Cougars (0-7) are right back at it Wednesday night, opening CACC play vs. Post at the Newman Center at 7 p.m.
