GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) and sophomore
Alexandra Sardis (Milltown, N.J.) have been named to the 2025 Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for bowling, the organization announced today. The two are part of the At-Large division, which incorporates a multitude of NCAA sports not included in other individual nomination programs (e.g. basketball, soccer, softball, etc.). Bowling and lacrosse are two sports sponsored by Caldwell Athletics that are eligible for the at-large selections.
Along with being named CSC Academic All-District last year, Marks was also named CSC Third Team Academic All-American.
Marks, a Fine Arts major, finished the semester with a 3.95 GPA. During this past season, she led the CACC in individual scoring average (20.375 pins/frame overall, 20.189 in Baker, 20.632 in Traditional), ending with a team-high of 191 strikes.
Sardis, a psychology major, finished the semester with a 3.77 GPA. She ended ninth in the league in individual scoring average (18.20 pins/frame) and frame fill percentage (78.1%) while placing in the top 10 in numerous other categories.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes softball honors in four divisions- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. The two Cougars, along with the other Academic All-District honorees, are now considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The First, Second, and Third-team Academic All-America Honorees will be announced next month.
