Marissa Sorvillo (Charlotte, N.C.) have been selected to the 2024-25 CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, the league has announced.
Corbett, who has posted a 3.90 GPA in Mathematics, was the CACC Defensive Player of the Year, a Met Writers DII Women's Basketball Honorable Mention selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree. She was selected the CACC Student-Athlete of the Month in February and averaged 5.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 2.9 steals per game, 17th nationally.
DeMauro, who has earned a 3.93 GPA in the Special Education program, averaged 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this year. She is a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree.
Lewis, a Criminal Justice major with a 3.67 GPA, earned All-CACC First Team, CACC All-Tournament, D2CCA Second Team All-East Region, CSC Academic All-District and D2 East Hoops Regional Women's Basketball All-Star honors. She led the CACC in scoring (18.2 ppg) and placed fifth in steals (1.8) and eighth in assists (2.8).
Sorvillo, a Sport Management major with a 3.76 GPA, battled back from injuries that saw her miss all but one game in her first two seasons, played in 13 games in 2024-25, scoring a career-high 11 points vs. Jefferson on Feb. 8 and seven vs. Post on Jan. 22.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediately preceding term, must be enrolled for at least two full-time semesters at his/her current institution, and must be a second-year student-athlete at his/her current institution. The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
