DeAngelo Horn (Castle Rock, Colo.) has been named
Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Division II Men's Basketball Honorable Mention, the organization announced today.
Horn, a Second Team All-CACC performer, led the Cougars in scoring (13.4 ppg) and rebounding (7.2 rpg). He scored 20 or more points six times, including a season-high 25 at Assumption on 11/9 and at Holy Family on 1/18. He collected three double-doubles on the year. He also placed third in the circuit in field goal percentage at .558.
Horn was twice named CACC Player of the Week, garnering the honor on 11/25 and 1/20. He also recorded his 1000th career collegiate point on December 14 vs. West Chester (Caldwell and junior college combined).
Horn, along with Caldwell women's basketball standouts Lucy Coogan (First Team), Jah'Nel Lewis (First Team) and Brooke Corbett (Honorable Mention), will receive their awards at the 92nd MBWA All-Met Haggerty Awards dinner, scheduled for Thursday evening, April 24, at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel & Conference Center in Tarrytown, N.Y.
