RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Junior Sarahkate Schneider (Somerset, N.J.) made 14 saves, freshman midfielder Jessica George (South Brunswick, N.J.) had four goals and junior Meghan Korzevinski (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) added three as Caldwell women's lacrosse earned a CACC road victory over Felician at Tryon Field.

The Cougars (2-10, 2-5 CACC) took a 4-1 lead in the first quarter on goals by freshman midfielder Gloria Carpenter (Los Angeles), graduate Janea Kelty (West Milford, N.J.), Korzevinski and George. After the Golden Falcons (4-9, 1-7) edged to within 4-2, Carpenter, George, Korzevinski and George again tallied through the next two periods to give CU a commanding 8-2 lead entering the fourth.

Schneider made it stand up, with an outstanding game in net. Classmate Serena Barra (Cranford, N.J.) made another stop in the final three minutes of play.

Caldwell moved into a tie for seventh place in the CACC standings, pending other results, keeping their tournament hopes alive. The top six teams advance to the championships.

The Cougars visit Jefferson on Monday in a makeup of last week's weather postponement. They return home for the final game of the regular season next Wednesday at 4 p.m. vs. Bridgeport at Kiwanis Oval.
