WATERBURY, CONN. -- Sophomore midfielder
Tiana Cipot (North Brunswick, N.J.) scored a hat trick for the third time this season to lead Caldwell (1-8, 1-4 CACC) to their first win in a 10-3 triumph over the Post Eagles (0-3, 0-3 CACC) at LaMoy Field.
Cipot now has 14 goals this year.

Gloria Carpenter (Los Angeles), junior midfielder
Meghan Korzevinski (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), and freshman midfielder
Jessica George (South Brunswick, N.J.) each tallied two goals. George extended her team-lead in goals with 16. Carpenter set up her teammates with a career-high four assists.
After Post scored the first goal, Caldwell beat the Eagles goalkeeper for six straight goals to take control of the game.
The Cougars would put an exclamation point on their victory by scoring three more times to finish off the contest.
Caldwell outshot Post by a wide 32-17 margin and had 14 more shots on goal. CU also led Post in the groundballs department. Caldwell had 20 groundballs compared to Post's 13.
George led the Cougars with seven total shots, seven shots on goal, and five groundballs.
The junior goalkeeper duo of
Sarahkate Schneider (Somerset, N.J.) (55:33 minutes) and
Serena Barra (Cranford, N.J.) (4:27 minutes) made six saves combined. Schneider had five saves and Barra saved one.
Caldwell will return to the Kiwanis Oval and host the Wilmington Wildcats on Senior Day/Alumni Day on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
