PHILADELPHIA -- Sophomore guard Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) had 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists and junior forward Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) had 15 points and five rebounds, but Caldwell women's basketball's season came to a close with a 63-54 defeat to host and South #1 seed Jefferson at Gallagher Center on Saturday.

Trailing 31-26 early in the second half, Caldwell used a 14-2 run, capped by a three by Jah'Nel Lewis, to take its largest lead at 40-33 with 4:34 left in the third.

But Jefferson (24-6) scored 10 straight to regain the lead, and after a three by freshman guard Shayne Eldridge (Wall, N.J.) tied the game at the end of the quarter, the Rams pulled away late, turning a 52-49 lead with 4:31 to play into an 11-point lead with eight straight points over the next three minutes to put the game away.

Sophomore guard Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) contributed 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals, and graduate forward Sophia DeMauro had a team-best nine rebounds as Caldwell finished the season with 17 wins, the most for the program in seven years.
