NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Junior forward
DeAngelo Horn (Castle Rock, Colo.) has been selected to the Men's Basketball All-CACC Second Team, the league announced today.
Horn led the Cougars (18-10 overall, 9-7 CACC) in scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg), placing 14th and eighth, respectively, in the league. He scored 20 or more points six times, including a season-high 25 at Assumption on 11/9 and at Holy Family on 1/18. He collected three double-doubles on the year. He also places third in the circuit in field goal percentage at .566.
Horn was twice named CACC Player of the Week, garnering the honor on 11/25 and 1/20. He also recorded his 1000th career collegiate point on December 14 vs. West Chester (Caldwell and junior college combined).
He leads the Cougars, seeded #4 North, into action in the CACC Tournament this evening at 7:30 p.m. at South No. 1 Jefferson.
