WATERBURY, Conn. -- Freshman midfielder
Conor Pinkham (Fair Lawn, N.J.) scored three goals, two in the first quarter, and junior goalkeeper
Edwin Himmel-Maines (Delta, Pa.) made 14 saves as Caldwell men's lacrosse fell, 14-4, in a CACC contest at LaMoy Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Pinkham got the Cougars (0-6, 0-2 CACC) on the board first, taking a pass from junior attack
Gavin Starr (Montgomery, N.Y.) four minutes into the game. Then, five minutes later, with CU trailing, 2-1, Pinkham scored an unassisted marker to even the score. The Eagles (5-3, 2-0) would tally one more for a 3-2 lead after the first, then outscore the Cougars, 4-0 in the second and 6-0 in the third to secure the win.
Junior midfielder
Zakkery Glatfelter (New Oxford, Pa.) and Pinkham tallied fourth-quarter goals for the Cougars, the second assisted by Starr for his second helper of the afternoon.
Caldwell concludes a three-game road swing through the early part of its CACC schedule at Dominican on Saturday, before returning home to face Felician on Wednesday, April 2, on Senior Day.
