Bowling Splits CACC Championship First Day, Advances to Final Day in Elimination Bracket

#2 Cougars To Take on #4 Dominican Saturday at 8:30 for Right to Face #1 Felician

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. -- Caldwell bowling, the two-time defending CACC champions, will need to come out of the elimination bracket to earn its "threepeat" after splitting a pair of matches on the first day of the 2025 CACC Championships at Pike Lanes.

In the morning matches, the second-seeded Cougars used consistent scores across the board, led by 181 scores by sophomores Alex Sardis (Milltown, N.J.) and Sara Angelica Rodriguez (Edison, N.J.) to take an 855-842 win in the Traditional format over #3 Wilmington. Then in Baker, the Cougars really shined, amassing a 932 score for a 28-pin win and 2-0 victory to advance in the winner's bracket.

Then in the afternoon, the Cougars faced top seeded Felician. When the Traditional match improbably ended in a 916-916 tie, the Golden Falcons won the ensuing Five Frame Baker Rolloff to take the match. Senior Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) and Sardis each posted 203 scores to lead CU.

Then in Baker, Felician won, 965-925 for a 2-0 triumph, pushing CU to the Elimination Bracket, where they will battle #4 Dominican on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The winner must then defeat Felician twice to take the title.
