Bowling Takes Two of Four at CACC Invitational #2

6-2 Weekend Places Cougars second in league, Second Seed in Tournament

LODI, N.J. -- Caldwell bowling won two of four Baker format matches on Sunday, bringing their weekend record to 6-2 at the CACC Invitational at Lodi Lanes.

The Cougars defeated Holy Family and Wilmington and fell to Dominican and host Felician. Today's results, coupled with the 7-3 mark in the first CACC Invitational, gives Caldwell a 13-5 mark, good for second place in the league standings and #2 seed in the CACC Championships, March 22 and 23.

On Sunday, sophomore Alexandra Sardis (Milltown, N.J.) led the way with a 19.64 frame average, followed by junior Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) at 18.44 and senior Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) at 17.25.

The Cougars next visit the Northeast Roundup on March 15-16 in Delaware before the CACC Championships in Southampton, Pa.

The field is set for the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Bowling Championship tournament. The four-team, double-elimination event will be hosted by Chestnut Hill College on March 22-23 at Pike Lanes in Southampton, Pa., and the qualifiers were announced today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

The CACC Women's Bowling Championship will be contested in a double-elimination, "mega-match" format over two days. A mega-match is a best-of-three competition in which the same two schools stage a five-player traditional match, a five-game Baker match, and if necessary, a best-of-7 Baker match.

The CACC is sponsoring a championship in women's bowling for the third year. Caldwell won both the 2023 and 2024 conference titles. For the first time, the winner of the CACC Championship tournament will qualify automatically for the NCAA National Collegiate Bowling Championship.
