NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Sophomore guard Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named CACC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 9, the league announced today.

Corbett recorded career highs of six steals in back to back games vs. Felician (adding five rebounds, three assists, blocked shot) and Jefferson (career-high 14 rebounds, four assists) She continues to lead the CACC in steals (2.8), ranking in the top 25 nationally.

Corbett is currently second on the team in rebounds (6.1) and blocks (0.4) despite playing guard.

She and the Cougars make a trip through Connecticut this week, visiting CACC North rivals Bridgeport on Tuesday and Post on Saturday.
