The Cougars, facing one of the region's top teams, stayed with the Panthers (20-7) in the first and third sets, trailing just 22-20 in the first before the hosts closed out the set, 25-20, and rallying to within 24-23 on consecutive kills by Schubert-Brown before AU won the last point to secure the match.

Jordan Mack (Yorba Linda, Calif.) had 14 kills and six digs to lead the Cougars in both categories. Senior DS
Torrien Jones (Camp Springs, Md.) had four digs and two service aces for Caldwell.
Caldwell next visits Goldey-Beacom in a CACC matchup in Wilmington, Del., on Saturday.
