NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Freshman defender Jonathan Del Cid (Hightstown, N.J.) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week and sophomore Jose De Oliveira Curado was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week today by the league.

After having only played in four games for a total of 41 minutes all season, Del Cid stepped up in CU's final contest of the season with numerous defenders injured, playing all 90 minutes. In the second half, he registered an assist on a through ball to Hakon Rake, who put in the second goal in Caldwell's shutout win over defending champion Felician on Wednesday.

In that game, Curado notched his first win and first clean sheet, recording seven saves in the contest.

The honors marked the first Rookie and Goalkeeper awards for the Cougars this season.
