Taina Gervais (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) scored twice in the first half and sophomore forward
Bella Noble (Staten Island, N.Y.) tallied two goals in the second half as Caldwell women's soccer topped Holy Family in a CACC matchup at Tiger Field on Saturday.
After HFU (3-10-3, 3-4-3 CACC) scored in the 12th minute to grab the early lead, the Cougars struck back a minute later with the equalizer when Gervais scored on an assist from Noble. Then in the 31st minute, Gervais, last year's CACC Player of the Year, broke the deadlock with her ninth goal of the season, unassisted for a 2-1 CU halftime lead.
Noble provided the Cougars (11-2-3, 8-1-1) with two insurance goals, three minutes apart, with Gervais and sophomore defender

Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) made six saves for the Cougars, who with 25 points in league play are tied with Chestnut Hill for the #2 spot on the CACC table, though CU holds the seeding tiebreaker, with one game left to play for both teams.
CU host Felician on Tuesday at 2:30 in the final home game of the regular season, and then hosts a CACC Quarterfinal matchup (opponent TBD) next Saturday, November 8, at Caldwell Athletic Field.
