Joey Ciccotelli (Denville, N.J.) were today named Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the league announced.
Additionally, senior wide receiver
Darius Harrison (Plainfield, N.J.) was selected to the weekly Honor Roll.
Jean returned a first-quarter interception 18 yards for a touchdown to give CU a 14-0 lead. He added three tackles and two pass breakups, helping the Cougars limit STAC to 107 yards of total offense. He is third on the team with 21 tackles and tied for first wth three pass breakups.
Ciccotelli contributed on both offense and special teams for the Cougars to earn the Rookie honor. He got CU started on Saturday by bringing a STAC punt to the house, the 77 yard scamper putting the hosts up 7-0 early. He also made three catches and now has a team-best 22 receptions on the season.
Harrison made four catches for 60 yards and two receiving TDs in the win, and is now third on the team with 16 receptions.
The Cougars (2-2) next visit Molloy University on Friday.
