PHILADELPHIA — In the rematch of the 2024 CACC Women's Soccer Championship match, the league's two heavyweights went at it at Ravenhill Field on the TJU campus on Saturday afternoon, with the host Rams (9-1-1, 5-0-1 CACC) edging Caldwell, 3-2.
After the Rams struck first, CU tied it on senior forward Rosio Cardenas's (Forked River, N.J.) team-high eighth goal of the season on a header two minutes in to the second half. The hosts scored in the 54th and 76th minutes before senior forward Tania Gervais (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) pulled the Cougars (7-2-1, 5-1-0) to within a goal with nine minutes to play. The Cougars couldn't get the equalizer, however, and the Rams took over first place in the 2025 table.
Senior keeper Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) made nine saves, her season high, for Caldwell.
The Cougars are next in action on Wednesday when they step out of league play for a battle with NE10 opponent American International in Springfield, Mass. at 7 p.m.
