DEPTFORD, N.J. — Freshman Emily Tarsio (Newburgh, N.Y.) averaged a team-best 181.4, including a high game of 215, as Caldwell bowling opened up the 2025-26 season by winning three of five matches in traditional play at the season-opening Bud Whitman Memorial.
Tarsio also posted scores of 189 and 185 as part of her first day in Cougar red and white. She was supported by the strong days by senior Samantha Glunk (Chatham, N.J.), who averaged 172.5, including a high of 192, junior Alex Sardis (Milltown, N.J.), whose consistent 167.4 mean topped out at 188, and sophomore Faith Perrin (Brick Twp., N.J.), whose 186 helped her average 162.8.
Day two of the event was canceled due to the impending storm forecasted for Sunday. The Cougars will next be in action next Friday through Sunday at the N.J. Open in Hackensack.
