CALDWELL, N.J. -- If the graduation of two-time CACC Bowler of the Year and First Team Academic All-American Lauren Marks has Caldwell bowling fans wondering who is ready to step up to lead the 2025-26 Cougar keglers, fear not. Senior Samantha Glunk (Chatham, N.J.) is ready to take the mantle.

Glunk, a member of the All-Tournament Team on the 2024 CACC championships squad, is a two-time NTCA All-Academic Team member whose demeanor may just be perfect to lead a squad which will need a few players to step up to regain the title next spring.

The Business Marketing major took a few minutes in the latest Cougar Captain's Corner as the team readies for its first tournament, beginning tomorrow in Deptford, N.J.

What is your main goal for your team this season, both on and off the field?
Our main goal is to get our spare percentage over 80% and win at least one of the tournaments that we signed up for.

What is a team motto or a core value that will drive your team this season?
We like to stay positive and encourage each other to perform to the best of our abilities.

What is the one thing you want fans to know about your team?
We like having fun, but we are extremely committed to reaching new heights.

Who is a player on your team that we should be watching out for this season, and why
It is hard to single out one player because we all have our own differences and inspiration towards the game/competition. We are all extremely passionate and determined to win.

What is one personal goal you're striving for this season?
My goal this season that I am striving for is to win our conference championship and be chosen to continue through the NCAAs,

What are you most looking forward to in your first season as a team captain?
I am looking forward to teamwork and selfless compromise. I want to be able to understand my teammates better and work with them to achieve our goals.

After you graduate, what are you hoping to do next?
I am hoping to be able to continue coaching my old high school bowling team as an assistant coach and working with other sports teams and marketing them. I also want to continue with graduate school and study sports management.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about your team or this season that we haven't asked about?
I feel that every single one of us combined are determined and we strive to do our best not only for ourselves but as a team. We will continue to push each other to put in 100% effort.
