Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) had another big game, scoring 22 points, as the Cougars (7-5) won their third straight game in a non-conference game against the College of Staten Island Dolphins (8-6) 77-69 at the Newman Center.Â

Sophia DeMauro (New York, N.Y.) had a great game from the field, making six of her eight attempts and scored 15 points.
Caldwell dominated the first half against the Dolphins and built themselves a commanding 39-21 lead at the break.
CU's largest lead was a 19 point advantage (40-21) at the 9:39 mark of the third quarter. Caldwell shot an impressive 55.3 % as a team for the game.
Things would get interesting later in the second half as CSI cut the deficit to four (64-60) with 3:09 to go in the fourth quarter.
The Cougars held off the surging Dolphins comeback attempt and earned their first win in the new year.
CU will travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. to take on Molloy University at 5 PM on Tuesday. It's their last non-conference game of the season until February 19th at Jefferson.
