BETHPAGE, N.Y. -- Sophomore Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) and senior Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) were the top two finishers as Caldwell women's cross country placed 10th of 13 teams competing at the season-opening Adelphi Panthers XC Invitational at Bethpage Polo at the Park on Friday afternoon.

Grau placed 37th with a time of 23:54.8 over the 5K course, with McNamee next in 40th at 24:41.3. The Cougars also had strong outings by sophomore Skylar Denton (Syracuse, N.Y) in 49th (26:33.3) and senior Isabella Pollock (Fair Lawn, N.J.) 50th at 26:37.0. Junior Chennaya Tschopp (Belleville, N.J.) closed out the CU scoring in 74th (32:40.3).

Caldwell next travels down the Garden State Parkway to Galloway, N.J. on Sept. 14 for the Stockton Osprey Open.
