Caldwell Joins CACC in Celebrating 20th Anniversary as Active NCAA Division II Conference in 2024-25

Caldwell University Athletics joins the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) today as the league officially began its 20th Anniversary as an active NCAA Division II Conference. The conference will celebrate the 20th anniversary during the 2024-25 season and it will feature a commemorative logo.

"This is a very exciting anniversary in the conference's history," CACC Commissioner Dan Mara said. "In just 20 years the CACC has celebrated many special moments at this level including regional championships, top-10 finishes at national championship events, a successful conference championship program, outstanding academic success rate scores and nationally-recognized community engagement initiatives. All of this success could not be possible without the dedication of the league's Presidents, Athletic Directors, Senior Woman Administrators, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Support Staff individuals such as Athletic Trainers, Sports Information Directors and Game Operation Managers."

The CACC enjoyed early success in the ranks of Division II and Caldwell led the way in 2004. The Cougar softball team won the NCAA Northeast Region Championship and advanced to the Women's College World Series in Alamonte Springs, Fla., where it won a game before being eliminated. The Cougar baseball team was selected to the 2004 NCAA Northeast Region Tournament and won its first game before being eliminated.

The CACC will highlight some of its greatest accomplishments over the last 20 years throughout the course of the 2024-25 season. Accomplishments that will be recognized include athletic success, academic achievement and community engagement. All originally produced material will be supplied to conference members to display electronically and throughout their respective campuses.

In addition to highlighting its thrilling past, the conference will continue to promote its current student-athletes and coaches in 2024-25, as they look to add more exciting chapters to the conference's growing history.
