BLOOMFIELD, N.J.-- Soph guard Darnell Evans (Deer Park, N.Y.) scored a game-high 29 points, adding eight rebounds, and junior forward Derrick Bueno (Palisades Park, N.J.) was dominant with 18 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, but Caldwell men's basketball saw its season come to an end with an 87-70 loss to Bloomfield in CACC action at Bloomfield Gym.

The Cougars (14-14, 9-7 CACC) finished in a three-way tie for third place with Felician and Dominican, but tiebreakers gave the nod to those two for CACC Tournament qualification.

Caldwell led, 37-32, at the half, and still maintained a lead with four minutes gone by in the second. But the Bears (20-8, 11-5) went on a 17-7 run to lead for good.

Junior guard Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) had nine points and four rebounds.
