LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Graduate Tala Marzooq (Manama, Bahrain) and freshman midfielder Tiana Cipot (No. Brunswick, N..J.) each scored as Caldwell women's lacrosse opened its CACC campaign with a 15-2 defeat at Georgian Court (5-4, 1-0).

Cipot's marker in the game's first minute following a draw control by Marzooq came on a feed from sophomore midfielder Megan Molinelli (East Windsor, N.J.).

Later in the quarter, Marzooq scored an unassisted marker for the Cougars (1-2, 0-1).

Soph GK Serena Barra (Cranford, N.J.) made 12 saves.

Caldwell next visits Bridgeport in a CACC matchup in Connecticut on Wednesday.
