Jaiden Williams (New York) had a game-best and career-high 22 points and soph guard
Melvin Evans (Bronx, N.Y.) added 13 points, six rebounds and six assists as Caldwell men's basketball fell, 65-55, in a non-league contest to Jefferson at the Newman Center on Tuesday, snapping the Cougars' four-game win streak.
Caldwell (13-12) trailed by four at halftime 26-22, and after an early second-half spurt put the visitors up by nine at 33-24, the Cougars battled back to within a point at 56-55 with 2:47 left following consecutive three pointers by Williams. Jefferson (17-8) would then score the next nine points of the game for the final margin.

Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) finished with 10 points and now has 982 in his career. Soph forward
Moussa Ngom (Dakar, Senegal) had a team-best nine rebounds.
The Cougars visit Dominican for a key CACC North matchup on Saturday at 3 p.m.
