ORANGEBURG, N.Y. Â -- Â Caldwell women's volleyball (2-25, 2-14) fell in their last game of the season to the Dominican University Chargers (11-12, 8-8) 3-0 at the Hennessy Center.
Senior right side hitter
Natalie Piper (Long Beach, Calif.) had a team-high seven kills.
Freshman setter
Grace Moliterno (Chester, N.Y.) collected 20 assists in the match.
Caldwell closed to within a point three times in the third and final set. The Cougars did not give up and narrowed the deficit to 23-21 until Dominican finished the set 25-21.
The game marked the final one in the careers of seniors Piper,
Karin Ojeda, and
Katherine Putsky.
