ORANGEBURG, N.Y.  --  Junior forward Taina Gervais (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) scored her ninth goal of the season in the 16th minute to get the Cougars on the board early as Women's Soccer (7-3-1, 5-1-0) held on to defeat their CACC rival Dominican Chargers (4-5-0, 2-3-0) 1-0 at O'Brien Field.

Junior goalkeeper Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) (three saves) was excellent in goal as she earned her third shutout win of the season.  

Junior forward Rosio Cardenas (Forked River, N.J.) led Caldwell with six total shots in the match. Caldwell pressured the Dominican goalie all game long, accumulating 20 shots and 11 on goal.

Caldwell will return home after a three game road trip to host Post University on Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
