ORANGEBURG, N.Y. Â -- Â Caldwell Men's Soccer (4-3-2, 3-1-1) lost a heartbreaking game in the final minute to their CACC rival Dominican Chargers (N.Y.) (2-6-1, 1-3-1) 2-1 at O'Brien Field. Sophomore forward
Cleff Alexis (Toledo Parana, Brasil) helped the Cougars tie the score at one with his first career collegiate goal in the 54th minute.
Caldwell peppered the Dominican goalie with 26 shots, firing 10 of them on goal. Dominican was only able to muster six total shots with four on net.Â
The Cougars had five more corner kick chances than the Chargers but fell short.
Sophomore
Justin Talbot (Moorestown, N.J.) (two saves) did his best to keep Caldwell within striking distance.
Caldwell will take on Queens College in an non-conference matchup in Flushing, N.Y. on Saturday at 7:30 PM.
