KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Following a 2-0 week that included a shutout victory over national #14 Felician, Caldwell men's soccer (4-2-1, 3-0 CACC) made its season debut at #9 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region poll, the organization announced today.

The Cougars also earned an early-season draw with two-time defending National Champion Franklin Pierce, which remains at #1 in the poll, helping Caldwell's rating to date.

CU's stout defense has been led by sophomore goalkeeper Justin Talbot, whose Goals Against Average of 0.40 is tied for seventh in the nation, while his save percentage of .941 is tied for second in the NCAA.

The Cougars put their league unbeaten record on the line at Wilmington on Saturday in their next action.
