Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) added three goals and two assists and a late flurry came up just short as the Caldwell men's lacrosse team was edged, 12-11, at Dominican at Torne Valley on the banks of the historic Ramapo River.
Trailing, 12-7, early in the fourth quarter, the Cougars rallied as Starr scored three straight goals, two within 16 seconds, then Senior attacker
Michael Brown (Glenolden, Pa.) scored with 5:15 left to pull the Cougars to within 12-11. But they could not get the equalizing goal despite seven shots and five Chargers saves in the waning minutes.

Tim Livingston (Holtsville, N.Y.) made 17 saves in goal for the Cougars (2-9, 1-5). Senior midfielder
Garret Ciccia (Rockaway, N.J.) led the team with eight ground balls.
The Cougars return to action for their final game of the season on Senior Day, Friday at 4 p.m. vs. Chestnut Hill at Essex Valley Field.
