EAST NORRISTON, Pa.- The #4 seed Caldwell University women's bowling team posted two mega match wins to advance in the winner's bracket on day one of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship.
In the opening round, the Cougars faced fifth seed Felician University in a mega match. Caldwell won the traditional format 849-809 to take a 1-0 lead. The match moved to baker format where the Cougars again emerged victorious with an 823-692 win to win 2-0 and advance in the bracket.
Caldwell advanced to face top seed Wilmington University in another mega match. The Cougars topped the Wildcats 897-805 in the traditional play. Caldwell won the match 2-0 as they earned a 950-898 victory in the baker format to advance in the winner's bracket.
The Cougars resume play at the CACC Championship on Saturday, March 25 where they will face #2 seed Chestnut Hill College at 1:30 pm in the battle of undefeated teams at the championship.
