Women’s Bowling Finishes Tenth, Marks Earns All-Tournament Honors on Final Day of Northeast Roundup

NEW CASTLE, Del.- Caldwell University women's bowling junior Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) was named to the all-tournament team as the Cougars finished in tenth place as they wrapped up play at the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington University. The Cougars head into next weekend's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship with a 36-38 record on the season.
 
The Cougars fell in their opening match to Bloomfield College 818-779 and were edged by Mount St. Mary's University (Md.) 826-824. Caldwell fell short to Wilmington 957-940 and lost to Fairleigh Dickinson University 950-848 to enter bracket play in ninth place.
 
Caldwell faced tenth place Molloy University in the one-round baker best of 7 match. The Lions won the opening match 147-130 but the Cougars evened the match with a game two 202-180 win. Molloy took the third round 155-137 but Caldwell again evened the match with a 190-176 win in round four. The Lions took the match, winning the final two rounds 189-139 and 179-156.
 
The Cougars will compete in the inaugural CACC Women's Bowling Championship next weekend March 24-26 at Our Town Alley in East Norriton, Pennsylvania.
