Women’s Bowling Finishes in Eighth Place at Griffin Baker Classic

NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team finished in eighth place as the Cougars closed out play at the Griffin Baker Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
 
The Cougars won their opening match with an 894-867 win over Wilmington University. LIU edged the Cougars in their second match 967-937 but Caldwell earned wins in their next two matches. The Cougars defeated Bloomfield College 991-881 and Howard University 850-778, holding the seventh seed heading to the one-round best 4-of-7 bracket play.
 
Caldwell took on the eighth seed Bloomfield, splitting the first two matches. The Cougars took the first match 171-143, while the Bears evened the match winning the second 178-161. Bloomfield won the next three matches 182-149, 179-151 and 200-151 to win the match 4-1.
 
The Cougars return to action as they compete in the Wilmington Wildcats D2/D3 Invitational February 17-19 in New Castle, Delaware.
