CALDWELL, N.J. -- Sophomore GK
Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) made seven saves but Caldwell couldn't get one past the Georgian Court netminder as the third-seeded Cougars fell to No. 6 Georgian Court, 1-0, in the CACC Women's Soccer Tournament Quarterfinal at Caldwell Athletic Field on Sunday.
The Cougars managed 18 shots to 13 by GCU, but it was a goal off a corner kick in the 66th minute by GCU's Abby Kennedy that proved decisive despite the brilliant play of Gaminara and the Cougars defense all game.
Sophomore forward
Rosio Cardenas (Forked River, N.J.) was able to get off six shots, most by a Cougar, including two on goal. Graduate
Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) managed three shots, one on goal for Caldwell (7-4-5).
Georgian Court (6-6-6) advances to take on No. 7 Bridgeport, which upset No. 2 Wilmington, in the semifinals on Friday.
