RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Sophomore Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) had a game-high 20 points and soph Amyah Bray (Manchester, N.J.) pitched in 12 as Caldwell women's basketball fell, 68-49 in the CACC opener on Wednesday at JJJ Gym.

The Cougars whittled a 10-point halftime deficit to six with 7:10 left in the third quarter on consecutive jumpers by Coogan and freshman guard Jahnel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.). But Felician (1-5, 1-0 CACC) scored the next six for a 41-21 lead and the Cougars would get no closer than nine the rest of the way.

Freshman guard Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) led CU with eight rebounds and graduate Sophia DeMauro (New York) added six.

The Cougars (2-3, 0-1) next visit Georgian Court in a non-league game on Tuesday in Lakewood, N.J.
