Alisa Blalock (Uniondale, N.Y.) gave the Cougars their last lead of the game at 19-17.Â
Caldwell hung tough, trailing by just two at the half, and a three-pointer by Coogan pulled the Cougars to within a point at 32-21 early in the third quarter before a 7-0 run put the visitors ahead by eight, and CU would get no closer than five the rest of the way.
Coogan had five rebounds and two assists, while graduate
Sophia DeMauro (New York) had team-bests of eight rebounds and five assists for CU.
Caldwell next hosts Queens on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Newman Center.
