CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team were edged by American International College 1-0 in a non-conference match.
The Cougars fall to 1-3-1 overall, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 2-0-1.
The teams battled through a scoreless game over the first 30 minutes. American International broke through in the 32nd minute on a goal from the top of the box. The teams played a scoreless second half as the Yellow Jackets finished with the shot advantage 14-5 and shots on goal 8-2. American International held the edge in corner kicks 2-1.
Freshman
Ariana Gaminara (North Las Vegas, Nev.) allowed one goal and recorded seven saves in 90 minutes in net.
The Cougars travel to Wilmington University for their conference opener on Sunday, September 11 at 12 pm.
