CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team fell in their home opener to nationally ranked #23 Molloy College 2-0 in a non-conference match.
The Cougars fall to 1-1-1 overall, while the Lions improve to 3-0-0.
The Lions got on the board with a goal late in the opening half. Molloy added their second goal in the 48th minute of the second half.
Molloy outshot the Cougars 13-10 and also held the advantage in shots on goals 8-2. Caldwell held the edge in corner kicks 4-3.
Freshman
Ariana Gaminara (North Las Vegas, Nev.) recoded six saves in 90 minutes in net.
The Cougars host The College of Saint Rose on Monday, September 5 at 2 pm.
