PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's lacrosse team fell to Holy Family University 20-5 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in the CACC, while the Tigers improve to 3-8 and 2-3 in conference play.
Caldwell tallied a pair of goals late in the first half as freshman
Madison Ellis (Wayne, N.J.) scored both goals over the first two quarters for the Cougars.
The Cougars added a goal in the third quarter as junior
Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) netted a goal at the 7:25 mark.
Caldwell netted two late goals in the fourth quarter as junior
Phoebe Ohnemuller (Mays Landing, N.J.) and senior
Jenna Steelman (Mays Landing, N.J.) accounted for the final two tallied for the Cougars.
Senior
Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) played all 60 minutes, posting 13 saves in the game.
The Cougars travel to Wilmington University for a CACC contest on Saturday, April 9 at 1 pm.
