PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University baseball team fell in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference twin bill to Thomas Jefferson University. The Rams took the opener 12-3 and won the nightcap 6-0.

The Cougars fall to 6-14 overall and 1-7 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 14-11 and 5-3 in conference play.

In the opener, Thomas Jefferson took a 4-0 lead after three innings of play. Caldwell got their three runs in the fifth as freshman
Liam James (Roseland, N.J.) singled in the first Cougar run. Freshman
Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y.) added a run scoring fielder's choice, while senior
Frank Lehmann (Colonia, N.J.) hit a sacrifice fly.

In the nightcap, Caldwell managed seven hits in the game as Lombardi and sophomore
Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.) each went 2-for-3 with Saunders recording a double.
