ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- The Caldwell University men's lacrosse team fell to Molloy College 10-3 in a non-conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 2-6 overall, while the Lions improve to 4-7.
The game featured four goals over the first three quarters of play. Freshman
Ben Taylor (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored the lone Caldwell goal in the first half. Molloy pulled even late in the second quarter for a 1-1 halftime score.
The Lions scored early in the second half to take a 3-2 lead. Sophomore
Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) pulled the Cougars even midway through the quarter.
Molloy retook the lead at 4-3 with a goal early in the fourth quarter. Junior
Michael Brown (Glenolden, Pa.) tied the score at 4-4 with a goal at the 12:23 mark. The Lions closed the game with seven goals over the final 11 minutes.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Shane Murphy (Middletown, N.J.) recorded nine saves in 60 minutes of play in net.
The Cougars host Post University a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Saturday, April 2 at 2:30 pm.
