Madison Ellis (Wayne, N.J.) scored three goals for a second straight game as the Cougars fell to Molloy College 23-6 in a non-conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 0-2 overall, while the Lions improve to 3-2.
Molloy notched the first goal of the game, while junior
Olivia Christiano (Seaford, N.Y.) tied the score at the 11:09 mark of the first quarter.
Caldwell added two more goals in the first half as junior
Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) netted a goal early in the second quarter. Ellis notched her first goal of the day in the final two minutes of the half as the Cougars trailed 15-3 at halftime.
Ellis added two goals in the second half, while freshman
Hannah Glaser (Boonton, N.J.) also tallied a goal in the fourth quarter for the Cougars.
Ellis tallied three goals, while Maxwell totaled one goal, one assist and four draw controls. Christiano posted one goal and one assist, while Glaser finished with one goal and three draw controls.
Senior
Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) played all 60 minutes, recording 10 saves in the game.
The Cougars return to action as they travel to Kutztown University on Thursday, March 3 for a non-conference game at 4 pm.
