WEST CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University men's lacrosse junior
Kevin Albright (Mays Landing, N.J.) tallied seven points to help lead the Cougars to a season-opening 14-5 victory over American International College in a non-conference match.
The Cougars post a victory in their season opener for the third straight season as they improve to 1-0. The Yellow Jackets fall to 1-1.
Caldwell notched six goals in the first half including scoring four in the opening quarter. Albright tallied three goals, including two man-up scores. Junior

Jason Staudte (Sound Beach, N.Y.) each tallied goals to give the Cougars a 6-1 lead at halftime.
The teams traded goals to start the second half as freshman
Ben Taylor (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and Albright netted Caldwell goals to move the score to 8-3 midway through the third quarter.
The Cougars pulled away with a six-goal run that extended into the fourth quarter. Albright added two goals in the run, while sophomore

Spencer Dean (Salem, N.H.), Paladino and Staudte netted goals in the run for a 14-3 lead.
Albright led the way with six goals and one assist, while Staudte totaled two goals and three assists. Brown posted one goal and two assists in the win.
Junior
Tim Livingston (Holtsville, N.Y.) played over 51 minutes, totaling 10 saves to earn the win.
The Cougars travel to nationally ranked Pace University for a non-conference game on Wednesday, March 2 at 3:30 pm.
