HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened play at the Hawk Flight Invitational hosted by Monmouth University with a pair of wins to start the three-day tournament.
The Cougars won their first two matches of the day to give head coach
Ken Yokobosky his 300th career coaching victory as head of the Caldwell program. Yokobosky, currently in his eighth season, helped start the program from its inaugural season in 2014-15.
Caldwell defeated Wagner College 993-726 and Bloomfield College 916-891 to give Coach Yokobosky his milestone victory.
The Cougars fell in their next three matches, coming up short to Wilmington University 893-825 and LIU 979-954. Caldwell closed out the first day with a 767-749 loss to New Jersey City University.
Junior
Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) led the Cougars with a 19.46 baker average, while freshman
Hayley Vesek (Dallas, Pa.) finished with an 18.71 baker average.
Senior
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) posted an 18.16 baker average, while senior
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) rounded out the top Cougars with a baker average of 17.18
The Cougars continue play at the Hawk Flight Invitational hosted by Monmouth on Saturday, February 26.
