ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's basketball senior
Casey O'Shaughnessy (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 21 points as the Cougars fell short to Franklin Pierce University 62-50 to close out play at the Regina Rivera Memorial Tournament hosted on the campus of Dominican University of New York.
The Cougars fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Ravens improve to 1-3.
Franklin Pierce scored the first eight points of the game to take an early lead. O'Shaughnessy drained a triple as the Cougars closed the gap to 12-9 after the opening quarter.

Saundra Cleckley (Far Rockaway, N.Y.) added a lay-up to cut the score to 20-18 with under three minutes to play. Franklin Pierce pushed ahead late to lead 25-19 at halftime.

Alisa Blalock (Uniondale, N.Y.) converted a three-point play at the 1:45 to mark to put the Cougars in front 41-39.
The Ravens scored the final five points of the quarter and maintained their lead into the fourth quarter.
O'Shaughnessy shot 5-of-9 from behind the arc, finishing with 21 points. Cleckley tallied 10 points, six boards, five assists and six steals.
The Cougars travel to St. Thomas Aquinas College for a non-conference game on Tuesday, November 22 at 5:30 pm.
