NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened their 2022-23 season with a 1-4 start on day one of the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
The Cougars fell to Delaware State University 971-741 and Mount St. Mary's 941-780. Caldwell earned their first win of the season as they defeated Wilmington University 851-761. The Cougars lost their final two matches of the day with an 897-795 loss to Molloy University and a 886-852 loss to Coppin State University.
Senior
Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) led the way with a 178.4 traditional average on the opening day, while graduate
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) posted a 173.6 average. Junior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) finished with a 167.0 average, while sophomore
Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) added a 151.6 average.
The Cougars conclude play at the Bud Whitman Memorial hosted by Chestnut Hill on Sunday, October 9.
