SINKING SPRINGS, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team finished day one with a 4-1 record at the Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Kutztown University.
The Cougars fell in their opening match 992-887 to Wilmington University. Caldwell won their next four matches as they defeated Morgan State University 955-909 and upset nationally ranked Fairleigh Dickinson University 942-888. The Cougars closed out the day with an 866-819 win over Bloomfield College and a 921-868 victory against Felician University.

Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) led the Cougars with a five-round traditional average of 228 with a high round of 278. Graduate
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) posted a five-round traditional average of 198.8 with a high game of 233.
Junior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) finished with a five-round traditional average of 180.8 with a high game of 210. Sophomore
Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) rounded out the top performer with a five-round average of 170.6 with a high round of 222.
