STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened the second half of their season with three wins on day one of the Seahawks Invitational hosted by Wagner College.
The Cougars won their first three matches of the day as they edged St. Francis College Brooklyn 796-755 and defeated Saint Francis University 928-821. Caldwell posted their win of the day with a 973-708 victory over host Wagner. The Cougars fell to Morgan State University 858-755 and closed out the first day with a 977-881 loss to Adelphi University.
Senior
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) led the way with a 194.80 traditional average in five matches and a high game of 223. Junior
Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) posted a five-round traditional average of 191.40 with a high round of 233.
Freshman
Paige Clegg (Deptford, N.J.) finished with a four-round traditional average of 170.50 with a high game of 199. Freshman
Hayley Vesek (Dallas, Pa.) rounded out the top Cougars with a four-round traditional average of 169.50 and a high round of 187.
The Cougars close out play at the Seahawks Invitational hosted by Wagner College on Sunday January 23.
